How many dice do you need?

Dungeons and dragons dice sets include 7 dice. D20,d12, d10, dpercent, d8 and d6 (simetimes they have 4 d6s). For dnd you need at tge minumum 1 of each. However, I would recomend more. I think a player should at least have a few extra d20 and of the dice your charcter uses most for weapon and definetly more d6s (lots of things add a d6 of damage). In my honest opionion you need 2-3 set and some more loose dice. If you play a d6 based game it is essential to buy the pack with like 30 d6s or else everything will take you forever. The more dice you have the easier and faster it gets to play as you can roll all the appropirate dice at once and not just tediously one at a time. Also it doesnt hurt to have extras in vase your friend forgets theres or if there is someo e new joining who may not have mnay dice. The more dice the better! ( just dont go crazy)
