Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Fiend Folio

This book is for the edition of d&d that was published in the 70s. Thos book is simulair to the monster manuel I have discussed previously. It has a variety of monsters and evil creatures that can be placed in a d&d game.

Its art is quite nice. Although in black and white. I believe all the dnd boos of this era were in black and white and only the covers were in color.

It has a lot of full page and half page spreads. Which on  the most part look very good and have a high level of detail.

What i think is particualiry cool isnthatcit shows the monster like normal and than on the next page has the monster in a fight scene. There are quite a few examples of this and i think its awesome to see these monsters in action. Ai goves you a great sense of scale and is useful for dm’s so they can visualize it in their game.

I really like this book it is very visually interesting and has a cool cover with thay hand painted effect quite a few of these early books had.

Majestic Horns

Why are thisnhorna so long. Why is it soo angry. Im not sure whats going on withh this guy butnit both scares me and makes me laugh.

Iron Women

This looks like a female iron man mask. However, why do all the face holes sport plus signs? Perplexing but could be cool as these magical items usually have a cool magic feature.

What?

This is werid and yet terrifying. Why is it floating? Why is it so thin? Whats with the face? Why is its head on its tail? Its more puzzling the longer I look at it.

Swirly

It looks like its high out of its mind. Its so thin and kts either swimming or flying through these strange dotted swirls.it kind of looks like a platypus but really skeletal and thin. But thay face is so funny.

What is Expanded Psionics

This is a 3.5e book that introduced psionics to the game. Psionics is similar to magic but based in the mind. This book has new races,  classes, skills, feats, prestige classes, items, powers, monsters etc. All things needed to add psionics to your game.

It has the same style as the other 3.5e splat books but it is called expanded psionics instead of complete psionics (which was later realised as the sequel to this book). It adds the races that are psionic specific but other races can take a psionic class as well.

Thr classes get power points and powers which equate to spells and spell slots. These are also elaborated on in this book. You do not need complete psionics as well as this is the first book and has all the rules it needs. You can simply play with this book and the core books if desired.

The feats most likey will not be useful to you if you are not psionic but there is some general feats as well as psionic feats which may be of interest to the average player.

The powers all focus on the mind ad this is essentially mind based magic. It’s all psychic based. It also uses crystals as a theme to store powers and such.

Although I like this book it’s only useful if you want to launch into a. Psionics which can be confusing to new people d&d has a lot of concepts to master already.

However, it is a great mechanic to add into the second game to keep things from getting to repetitive and to give your players more options.

How does this resemble a tiger?

The face on this creature does not look like a tiger but rather like a cat mixed witha donkey with pincers laughing. It genuily looks like its pulling a funny face and it makes me laugh when I come across it in my monster manuel.
